Itchy

This warm weather is making me itchy. It's making me itch to go out for a long run or head to excel in cycling for a 2 hour cycling class. But alas I can't. I have th energy or a snail and the body of an elephant right now. I know it's all for the best, but it still is really frustrating some days to not be able to do what you want. I am going to have a long road ahead of me in June to build my body back up to where it should be. I don't look forward to that, but crave it at the same time. I'm sure it'll be very depressing to see how far my fitness has declined, but at the same time I know I can get back to where I was, or maybe even better. But I worry that sleep deprivation with a newborn will get the best of me. I hope not. I hope I am able to be one of those moms out at the towpath chugging out the miles with the baby in the stroller. But I haven't been one of those pregnant women still working out everyday, so I worry. I can blame is all on the weather, I can blame is all on the pregnancy, but I know I could have been more active these past 30 weeks. But it is what it is. In 10 weeks or less I will have a wonderful new person to take care of. And hopefully this wonderful new person will take very well to her stroller and swing and gym daycare so momma can loose this baby weight!

i had a hard time letting go of my super-fit-while-pregnant goals, but in the end i was happy listening to my body and being less active was the right thing for me.

now with a 9-week old, it's SO much fun to have a major fitness gain during every single workout -- super motivating! i bet you'll have fun getting back in shape, and the weather will be warm and baby-friendly too.
