Marathons kind of hurt
Running many many miles can be really hard on your body. I don't have many problems, my knees ache a bit, but I am super prone to blisters. Check out by feet after the cleveland marathon - zexy isn't it! Bruised toenails - I lost 2 - and a nice blood blister for good measure.
Tai's butt
This is Tai's butt, this picture makes me laugh. Just in case you were wondering what that looks like. This picture is brought to you by the wonderful people at the Mutt Hutt. A local doggy daycare that Mush and Tai get to go to from time to time.
Welcome to my Tri blog
Welcome everyone to my blog! Starting tomororw- Nov 1st, I am going to start training to become a triathlete! I am going to use this journal to discuss workouts, trials, tribulations along the way! My goal is to do a half Ironman next fall, but ultimately I dream of completing an entire Ironman! But baby steps, baby steps. I need to start with a few sprint and olympic distances races first.
I completed my first marathon this past May in Cleveland with a time of 4:42, which was not very good for me! I had lots of stomach problems from mile 8 on and it was just a really rough race. I am doing my next marathon in May in Cincinnati and I hope it goes a LOT better! I've done about 7 half marathons. So, I've got the running part down! I completed the MS 150 bike ride this summer, as well as a few 75 mile bike rides. So, I have the biking part down as well! But I can't really swim, so that's going to be the hard part here - plus I hate to wear a bathing suit!!!!!! LOL! But watch me tri! I think I can do this and look forward to the months ahead of me as I mold myself from a runner to a triathlete!
